The agreement between Teeckets and everyone who lists an event, buys a ticket or walks through the door with one.
Effective 16 September 2026
Please read this with the other three documents. The Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the POPIA and PAIA notice form part of these Terms. By creating an account, listing an event, buying or receiving a ticket, or otherwise using Teeckets, you agree to all four.

1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms form an agreement between you and Teeckets, a platform operated by Kanvas Creative Solutions in South Africa (together "Teeckets", "we", "us" or "our"). If you do not accept them, do not use the platform.
Organiser account holders must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. A person buying for a minor confirms that they are authorised to do so. You must give accurate information and keep your email, login PINs and account access secure.
Teeckets sells to buyers in South Africa and charges in South African Rand. We do not undertake to comply with the consumer law of any other country, and a buyer outside South Africa uses the platform on that basis.
2. What Teeckets provides
Teeckets provides event pages, ticket creation and sales, automatic R0 tickets, coupons, order records, email and SMS tools, ticket sharing and printing, QR and PIN admissions, organiser profiles, event galleries, refund administration, reserved seating and seat maps, organiser-defined custom sections, an affiliate programme, and settlement of ticket proceeds.
Teeckets supplies the technology and the payment administration. The organiser remains responsible for the event itself - the programme, venue, accessibility, safety, licences, age restrictions, content and communications with ticket holders. When you buy a ticket, your contract to attend is with the organiser; your contract with Teeckets covers the sale, delivery and administration of that ticket.
3. Organiser accounts and event listings
Organisers must ensure that event information, dates, prices, ticket quantities, venue details, refund rules, tax settings and contact details are complete and not misleading, and may only upload material they own or are licensed to use.
Creating an event does not require an upfront payment. The organiser must select the capacity package that covers the event's maximum intended ticket inventory. That selection and its fee are stored with the event and cannot be avoided by later reducing, hiding or cancelling ticket types.
We may pause, unpublish or remove events that are unlawful, deceptive, unsafe, infringing, technically harmful or contrary to these Terms, and may ask for reasonable event or payout information to prevent fraud, meet a legal duty, process a refund or pay the correct account.
Organisers must complete identity verification (KYC) where we ask for it. Payouts may be held until verification is complete.
4. Paid tickets and R0 tickets
A paid ticket order is created from the ticket type, price, quantity, taxes, organiser fees, discount and payment option shown at checkout. Teeckets calculates the amount payable from its own server records, never from prices supplied by the buyer's device.
If an event has no paid ticket type, Teeckets may issue an R0 ticket. R0 orders skip payment but still produce the standard ticket link, PIN and QR code, and remain subject to event capacity and admission rules.
A ticket may be admitted once. Copied, cancelled, refunded, invalid or previously scanned tickets may be refused at the door. Protect your ticket link, QR code and PIN: anyone holding them may be admitted in your place.
5. How tickets are delivered
Tickets are delivered electronically. Nothing is posted or couriered.
Card and instant EFT payments: the ticket is issued as soon as the payment is confirmed, normally within a few minutes. The confirmation email carries the ticket link, reference, PIN and QR code.
Manual EFT with proof of payment: the ticket is issued after the organiser or Teeckets has checked the proof, normally within one business day of the funds reflecting.
Free (R0) tickets: issued immediately.
If the email does not arrive, check the spam folder first, then use Find my tickets with the order reference or email address, or contact support@teeckets.co.za. A ticket can be re-sent at no charge. Entry is by QR code or PIN, so a printed copy is optional.
6. Prices, payment methods, fees and payouts
Prices. Every price on Teeckets is in South African Rand (ZAR) and includes any tax the organiser has configured. The price shown at checkout is the amount charged; any organiser fee or booking cost is itemised before you pay.
Payment methods. Card and instant EFT payments are processed by South African payment gateways, currently PayFast and Yoco, and some organisers accept manual EFT with proof of payment. You enter card details on the payment provider's own secure page over an encrypted connection. Teeckets never sees or stores your full card number, expiry or CVV. Payments are processed in ZAR.
Collection. Teeckets collects ticket proceeds as the organiser's payment collection agent and holds them in its ordinary business account until payout. This is an administrative payment-protection arrangement, not a trust, escrow or other regulated fiduciary service: the funds are not held in a segregated escrow or trust account, and no user gains interest, investment return or ownership of a particular bank deposit.
Payout calculation. Before paying the organiser, Teeckets deducts card processing and the fixed fee for the capacity package selected when the event was created. Card processing is charged at the rate levied by the gateway, currently 3.69%, and is passed through in full; Teeckets retains no part of it. Where this rate is quoted as 3.6% elsewhere on the site, the gateway's actual rate applies and the exact amount is itemised on the payout breakdown. The organiser receives the remaining net balance, normally from 24 hours after the scheduled event end, subject to refunds, reversals, chargebacks and other lawful adjustments.
Free events. An organiser may create an event under the free capacity option, for which no package fee and no card processing are charged. Every ticket on such an event must be R0.00. An organiser who wants to charge must first select a paid capacity package.
Capacity packages. The package fee is set by the capacity selected and is measured against tickets placed on sale. Draft ticket types are not counted until they go on sale. An organiser may change the package at any time; this alters only the fee deducted at payout, never ticket prices, completed orders or amounts already paid.
Prices are fixed once sold. Once a ticket type has sold at least one ticket its price cannot be changed, and it cannot be switched between paid and complimentary, because payouts, refunds and wallet calculations are derived from the amounts actually charged. Close the ticket type and create a new one instead. A ticket type that has sold cannot be deleted, and its quantity cannot drop below the number already sold.
Minimum revenue and forfeiture. The selected package fee is the event's minimum ticket-sales revenue for payout purposes. If eligible revenue after refunds, reversals, chargebacks and adjustments is less than that fee, the organiser forfeits the proceeds for that event and no payout is due. Teeckets may apply those proceeds to platform, payment, refund, dispute and administration costs.
7. Refunds, cancellations and postponements
Refunds and cancellation are dealt with in full in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: the organiser sets and must honour a lawful refund policy for their event; Teeckets administers approved repayments; and nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.
If an event is cancelled, materially changed or postponed, the organiser must tell ticket holders promptly and work with Teeckets on refunds or transfers. Teeckets may withhold a payout, or apply held funds, to cover approved repayments, chargebacks and reversals.
8. Acceptable use and content
You may not use Teeckets to commit fraud, impersonate another person, sell unlawful or misleading events, harass or spam people, upload malicious or infringing material, scrape the service, defeat ticket controls, probe security, interfere with the platform or reach data without permission.
You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant Teeckets a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, resize, reproduce and display it only as needed to run, secure, promote or support the event and the platform. Gallery contributors confirm they have permission to capture and submit their images.
9. Communications and third-party services
You agree to receive transactional messages needed for login, orders, tickets, proofs of payment, refunds, payouts, admissions and material service notices. These are not marketing. Organisers using guest messaging must have a lawful basis to contact recipients and must respect opt-outs.
Teeckets relies on payment, hosting, email, SMS, mapping, analytics and other providers whose availability and processing times can affect the platform. Links to other sites do not make Teeckets responsible for their content or services.
10. Availability, changes and account action
We work to keep Teeckets available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, internet failures, provider outages and events beyond our reasonable control may interrupt it.
We may improve, replace or discontinue features, and may change prices for the future. We may restrict or end access for material breaches, fraud, legal requirements or threats to users or the platform. Payment, refund and legal obligations survive termination.
11. Warranties, liability and indemnity
The platform is provided as it stands. To the extent the law allows, Teeckets excludes implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data, or loss caused by an organiser's acts, an event's cancellation or conduct at a venue.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of the ticket order in question or the fees Teeckets earned on it, whichever is greater. Nothing limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or anything else that may not lawfully be limited.
You indemnify Teeckets against claims arising from your event, your content, your use of the platform or your breach of these Terms.
12. Complaints and disputes
Tell us first: email support@teeckets.co.za with the order reference, the event and what happened. We aim to acknowledge within one business day and to resolve or explain within ten business days.
Complaints about the event itself - the line-up, the venue, the running of it - are for the organiser, whose contact details are on the event page. We will help you reach them.
If a complaint is not resolved, you may approach the National Consumer Commission, a recognised consumer ombud, or a court of competent jurisdiction. Raising a dispute with your bank before contacting us is more likely to delay a refund than to speed it up; see the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
13. Governing law and general provisions
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest stands. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not cede your rights under these Terms without our written consent. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the POPIA and PAIA notice, are the whole agreement between us about the platform.
We may update these Terms. The current version and its effective date stay on this page, and material changes will be notified by email or on the platform where reasonably possible.
